SELLING A BUSINESS

Should I sell my business? This is one of the most difficult decisions an owner has to make because of the overwhelming personal and financial implications. There are many valid reasons why an owner would like to sell a business. Yet, they do not imply failure or eagerness by the owner to accept less than a fair price for the business. Below are the major steps that we use when selling a business.

Preliminary Action
Schedule initial confidential consultation with Alpha Business Brokers to discuss your goals, objectives and motivation, and learn what is involved with selling your business. After that, you decide if you would like to sell the business and if you would like to use a broker. Should you decide to go forward with us we would need to meet again to discuss the details of further actions including properly valuating your business.


Marketing
Discuss the valuation results and sign representation documents. We will create the necessary marketing materials and implement the marketing plan.


Screen Buyers and Manage the Purchase Offer
We screen and manage buyers who would be interested in the business. We schedule and attend meetings with potential buyers. We negotiate an acceptable offer and write a purchase agreement. We facilitate further inspection of the business.


Escrow & Closing
We facilitate the escrow and closing process. We help with the completion of all necessary documents and negotiate with other parties when necessary. You are now on your way to pursue other opportunities. Congratulations!
